From Our President

The Wilmington Newcomers Club welcomes you to Wilmington and the Cape Fear region. From the Riverwalk to the sea beaches, to Pleasure Island and Fort Fisher, there are so many things to see and enjoy. The main purpose of our organization is to help make your transition to Wilmington a lot less stressful and a lot more fun. We do this by helping you to meet others and make new friends. We're there to support you as you settle into your new life and home, and maybe even to nudge you out of your comfort zone to try some new things. We have over 25 satellite groups, so you are sure to find something to catch your eye to take part in while getting to know others who share your interests.

Wilmington itself has so much to offer everyone. A sampling of the opportunities for getting involved include historic museums, non-profit organizations, arts and theatre, - if you can think of it, Wilmington probably has it-and if for some reason it doesn't-it's open enough to allow you to begin it! Our club shares the same philosophy. New satellite groups form all the time as members bring their joie de vie and expertise to enhance our Club's experiences.

So please give us a look over and come to one of our meetings. I'm sure you will like what you see. Joining the Wilmington Newcomers Club is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. You deserve it!

Best Wishes!

~Ann Gabriele~
